    Frank is a recently retired police officer after 31 years of service in Southern California. For those 31 years he has dedicated his life to serving and protecting citizens in a major metropolitan city. During his career in law enforcement Frank worked in patrol, gang enforcement, narcotics, traffic and was last assigned to a highly specialized division.

    Frank has been married to his wife for 28 years. They have one son who has recently graduated from a university earning his Bachelor’s degree with a major and minor. Frank enjoys camping, fishing and traveling with his wife and son. Music and spending quality time with friends and family are dear to his heart.

    Frank was raised in a law enforcement family. Frank’s Dad is an Army veteran and retired police officer and his Mom is a retired county sheriff sergeant. Frank has strong allegiance and respect to both law enforcement and the military.

    Troy has been in the Mortgage banking industry for 32 years in Southern California. For the previous 30 years Troy has been in the top 1% of all mortgage originators in the country.

    Troy and his wife Jody have been married for 23 years and have three adult sons and soon to be grandparents. Troy comes from a Law Enforcement/ Military family and always has been very close to the Law Enforcement and Military communities. Doing more for others than you do for yourself is how he has raised his children and ran his business. Troy enjoys spending time with his family, outdoor activities and serving others.

    JD McDonald is a 32 year veteran of the Los Angeles Police Department. For the past seven years, JD has been assigned to the Metropolitan Division as a K9 Sergeant. His assignment includes supervisory oversight of 20 canine handler teams that conduct approximately 400 tactical searches annually.

    Prior to his assignment to the Canine Unit, JD was assigned as a Sergeant in the Department’s Use of Force Review Division. During this assignment, he was involved in the analysis and review of hundreds of critical incidents Department-wide. Previously, JD was assigned as a Canine Handler for six years. During this assignment, he conducted, or was directly involved as a search team member, on hundreds of tactical searches. Prior to his assignment in Metro K9, he was assigned as an operator for the Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) platoon for approximately seven years.

    Over his 32 years with the Los Angeles Police Department, JD has worked specialized units including Metro Mounted Unit, South Bureau CRASH (Gang Enforcement), Special Problems Unit, Bicycle Unit in addition to uniformed Patrol. JD attended San Diego State University where he graduated with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Criminal Justice Administration. JD served with the US Marine Corps Reserve as a radio operator and parachute rigger, and was honorably discharged in 1988.

    Initially, JD was an active member of the Catholic Church until he felt God calling him, along with his family, to Inland Hills Church in Chino Hills California.

    JD and his wife, Camie have been married for 24 years and have 2 children, Aiden and Conor. In August 2019 their oldest son, Aiden, was called back to the Lord after losing his battle with anxiety and depression. With Aiden’s passing, they have experienced immeasurable pain but they believe that God has a plan for Aiden, along with his family. They trust in God that someday it will be revealed.

    Trond Gottfried retired from the California Department of Corrections after a 25 year career. He feels blessed to have been part of SWAT as a squad leader, team leader and an instructor for the better part of 19 years. Gottfried was promoted through the ranks to a final resting place as the SED (Street Enforcement Division) training Lieutenant, Office of Correctional Safety. Along the way he married his beautiful wife and together they raised 4 children. They have been members of the same church for 20 plus years where Trond is active in the high school youth group, Mexico missions and a security team member.

    Dave has 16 years of law enforcement service in Phoenix, AZ and Vancouver, WA. He has served 28 years as president and founder of a residential construction company in Washington and Oregon.

    Dave and his wife Lisa have been married for 35 years and have 4 adult children and 8 grandchildren. Dave has served as a church elder, deacon, held various church board positions, involved in a church plant, and served on mission trips to Mexico. He enjoys spending time with his family, RVing, sporting events, and outdoor activities.

    Mark is a 33-year veteran of the Los Angeles Police Department. For the past ten years, Mark has been assigned to the Emergency Service Division/ Bomb Squad.

    Over his 33 years with Los Angeles Police Department, Mark has worked specialized units including Metro Mounted Unit. Rampart CRASH (Gang Enforcement) and SWAT. Mark is also a Firearms Instructor, Public Safety Diver, and Public Safety Boat Operator.

    Mark has been married for 20 years and has three sons and one daughter. Mark enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, boating and playing on the LAPD Bullets Hockey Team.

    Mark was born and raised in Huntington Beach, California, and began his distinguished law enforcement career with the Huntington Beach Police Department in 1995. Over the years, he has served in a wide range of assignments, including narcotics and investigations, and has spent the last two decades as a certified flight instructor for the department’s Air Support Unit.  Mark has been the units Chief Pilot for the last 5 years. 

    In addition to his operational roles, Mark has been deeply involved in leadership and advocacy. For the past four years, he has served on the Board of Directors for the Huntington Beach Police Officers’ Association and currently holds the position of Union President.

    A passionate advocate for officer wellness, Mark has dedicated over 20 years to the department’s Trauma Support Team—one of the first of its kind in the nation. This team responds to critical incidents including officer-involved shootings, traumatic events involving children, and assaults on officers. Established in the early 1980s, the Trauma Support Team has been instrumental in significantly reducing officer-involved suicides, thanks in part to the ongoing commitment of its members.

    Mark has been married to his wife since 2001 and is a proud father of two grown children. He remains grounded in his faith and draws daily inspiration from the Lord.

    Curt is an active Police Sergeant for an agency in Orange County, Southern California. With over 31 years of service he has worked patrol, undercover narcotics, SWAT and currently runs a plainclothes violent criminal apprehension unit.  

    Curt is married and has two kids and two step kids with his wife. On his time off, Curt enjoys working out, pickleball, hunting, fishing and time with family and close friends. 

    Curt and his wife regularly attend church in Orange County, CA and in 2023, Curt was baptized by Pastor Shane while on a Task Force Heroes trip. He is faithful to the mission of Task Force Heroes and continues to bring other Law Enforcement Warriors up to Bozeman.

    A native Texan, Doug attended college at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas where he earned his bachelor of science in electrical engineering. After college, Doug moved to Portland, Oregon, where he and his family still call home. Doug is married to Karen and they have one son, Mac. When he’s not spending time with his family, Doug works as an attorney and also part time as a Judge Advocate for the 213th Legal Operations Detachment at Fort Benning, GA.
